Best Countries for Nigerians to give birth abroad
In my last post I talked about birth tourism (giving birth abroad) and the various reasons why women in underdeveloped or developing countries prefer to give birth in developed countries. You should check my previous post for more insight on birth tourism.

With the restrictions placed on birth tourism by the United States government there is a need for mothers to explore other countries. There is a list of countries willing to offer birth tourism to mothers although the cost and documents required for the process varies from one country to the other.
List of birth tourism Countries
-Canada: is considered a land of better opportunities by many and it’s the only first world country that still grants full citizenship by birth. Canada also ranks in the top 5 countries to raise a Child. Giving birth to a child in Canada gives the Child automatic citizenship and as a Canadian the child has access to low tuition fee, quality health care and good standard of living. A child with a Canadian passport has access to 172 countries visa free including the United States.
-Chile: is one of the few countries that can visit US visa-free. Chile is one of the safest countries in the world and a hospitable nation, in Chile all are welcomed. The cost of delivery is cheaper in Chile than other developed countries. Chileans passport allows access to 174 countries visa-free. Dual citizenship is legal in Chile; a child can be a Chilean and a Nigerian. Unlike Canada, Chile doesn’t have an embassy in Nigeria and visa processing can only be done in neighboring country like Ghana.
-Brazil: with a Brazilian passport the Child can access 171 countries visa free including EU. Birth Tourism in Brazil doesn’t only provide access to good health facilities, it also grants children the opportunity to interact with Nigerian culture. Bahia in Brazil is the second home for Nigerians, the city has a large number of Yoruba speaking residents . Parents and siblings also have the opportunity for permanent residency.
-Argentina: is a top destination for birth tourism and obtaining residency for parents is easier. Argentina passport grants visa free travel to 110 countries and the cost of delivery is cheaper than any country in the west.
-Barbados: is an independent British Commonwealth nation, with a British ancestor the child can easily apply for a UK passport. Barbadians can travel to 139 countries including EU visa free. Nigerian passport holders don't also need a visa to visit Barbados. Barbados also have medical personnel that specialize in birth tourism
